Failing Sprints

In my company, when we didn’t complete the User Stories that were part of the Sprint Goal, we consider the Sprint as failed. From my point of view it would make a lot more sense to consider a Sprint failed, when the result is not potentially shippable, do you agree?

The Sprint Goal must not and should not be a collection of User Stories. It should be the goal of what you are doing. So in case you are missing some details in a Story the goal might still be met.
However when the result is not potential shippable – really done. Its nothing. Its actually inventory at best or maybe its waste. Sorry. 😉
